The NetBiter? webSCADA Modbus acts like a traditional SCADA system targeting smaller basic Modbus systems with up to 200 data points. Both local and remote monitoring is supported, over LANs, Internet and modems. Each NetBiter webSCADA hardware has a built-in web server that is used when customizing your graphical user web interface. Everything is done using a standard web browser. Therefore no external Windows tools or HTML editors are needed!
100% of the application software is running on the NetBiter? webSCADA and therefore the client browser can be located anywhere.
Connect Modbus devices and select data of your choice on the configuration web pages. The configured data appears automatically on the built-in web pages, without writing a single line HTML.
Features
Web server (designing web pages to monitor / control Modbus data)
The Gateway acts as a web interface to one or more Modbus RTU devices (SLAVES). The Gateway holds an embedded web server with corresponding web pages inside. The user can configure what data (up to 200 Modbus registers) to be monitored and controlled through the onboard web pages. When the configuration is saved, the Modbus data will start updating immediately on the web pages.
Alarms by Email and SMS
The user can configure up to 20 alarms and the conditions to trigger an alarm. The alarm can be sent by email or SMS where the user can decide whom to receive the alarms. Of course the user can configure the text in the email or the SMS.
Data logging
The product is capable of logging selected data. For example the user can select some Modbus registers and select the sample rate. The data is stored in a text file inside the NetBiter? webSCADA Gateway.
Modbus TCP (to connect to SCADA systems or PLCs over Ethernet)
This functionality is identical to the NetBiter? Modbus RTU - TCP product.
The Gateway acts a pure transparent connection between serial Modbus RTU devices to the standard Ethernet protocol Modbus TCP, used in all major SCADA systems or PLCs.
Security
To ensure safe communication the product supports different levels of security. For example, an authorized user must be able to log on with the right user name and password, assigned by the administrator. The product also holds several functions to keep the data base consistent in case of power loss etc.
Support for other serial protocols
In case you have an own protocol (non Modbus), please contact us. We offer implementation of your serial protocol into the product.
